The fact that Dave is mobile and follows the fall migration from Saskatchewan, Canada down through South Dakota and into Nebraska every fall ensures that you will be hunting the peak of the migration.  One thing Dave's hunters never hear is "You should have been here yesterday!"  That phrase is non-existent on Dave Ciani's hunts.  Although these are all fair chase hunts and there is no guarantee that you will shoot a limit of birds everyday; extensive scouting, years of experience, and a strong work ethic give Dave the edge on the waterfowl he so loves to hunt. 

 

Dave also enjoys guiding upland bird and wild pheasant hunts as much as he does waterfowl and is now offering an incredible waterfowl / upland combo hunt.  You will be hunting over professionally trained pointers and retrievers throughout your hunt.  You are also more than welcome to bring your own trained dogs to add to the enjoyment of your hunt. (Preserve hunting is also available).  

 

Your meals and lodging will be first class.  If you would like to stay in a five star private lodge setting that can be arranged.  If a more economical hunt is desired, clean and affordable motel rooms are always available and will be booked for you prior to your hunt.  Meals and lodging are always included in Dave's hunts and you can expect exceptional food throughout your stay. 

 

Group sizes are very important to Dave and he likes to keep them down to 2-6 hunters but can accommodate larger groups of hunters for his field Canada goose heated pit hunts.  Again all of the waterfowl hunts offered by High Prairie Outfitters are completely customized to the preference of the hunter and will be conducted on private property that expert guide Dave Ciani will accompany you on. Dave also only uses the best equipment. He has an incredible 21' Alaskan river jet guide boat that he uses to increase his hunter's success and comfort on big water hunts.
